Smoking Among Problem Gamblers at Intake

In California, problem gamblers can receive no-cost treatment through CalGETS. The prevalence of smoking among male gamblers at intake to CalGETS outpatient treatment was 10% higher than the prevalence of smoking among California men. 65% of gamblers in outpatient treatment are men.

The prevalence of smoking in female gamblers at intake to outpatient treatment is four times the prevalence of smoking in California women. 35% of gamblers in outpatient treatment are women.
